JOB DESCRIPTION

As a R&D Project Manager II, you will be instrumental in the ongoing success of Vertafore's rating products. Our Project Managers work with our carrier partners focusing on the build out of new and additional inventory to create more choice for our valued agents. In addition, you will work closely with our entire development staff in the coordination of each phase of the development life cycle. This is a fast paced, ever changing environment. We continually challenge ourselves to exceed objectives, remove barriers, meet crucial deadlines, and manage multiple projects, all while pioneering ways for efficiency with a team player attitude.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

· Coordinate new and maintenance development work between team members consisting of Business Analysts, Developers, QA, & Deployment.

· Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scope, implementation plan and risk mitigation.

· Utilize established Project Management tools to provide project tracking and status to stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure timely and effective delivery of the solution into production.

· Facilitate recurring project meetings with team members and clients providing proactive status prior, during, and post project.

· Establish and maintain relationships with customer, providing on-going project status and changes.

· Maintain and advance knowledge of Vertafore applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excels at managing customer expectations to successfully deliver projects while effectively communicating expectations to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

· Probes and looks beyond symptoms to determine the root cause of problems.

· Experienced at providing technical support including installation and troubleshooting at the product level.

· Reviews tasks to prioritize in alignment with departmental and company goals and urgency.

· Adaptable to changing priorities and demonstrate the ability to move at a fast pace with minimal requirements and guidance.

· End-to-end ownership of specific tasks and processes, works independently while providing visibility to stakeholders.

· Demonstrates a positive attitude, team player with a desire to impact change.

· Accountable for your job responsibilities, dedicated to meeting and exceeding customer expectations, and drive for results.

Qualifications:

· Experienced at using Microsoft Office Tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, One Note.

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.

· Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with team members and clients to deliver software solutions.

· Experienced in technology development with proven success articulating knowledge and understanding of XML transformations.

Additional Requirements and Details:

· Travel required up to 10% of the time.

· Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as needed basis

· Located and working from an office location (when required)

· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

· Frequent sitting and/or standing.
