Job Details: 

As a Senior Associate in the R&D team, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Primary Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

• Provide tax advisory services to a variety of clients, including public companies, private companies and owner-managed businesses 
• Coordinate with the Manager, Senior Manager, or Partner on all phases of the engagement, including execution of the engagement letter, communications with the client, staffing requirements, job planning, and scheduling 
• Review tax working papers and determine that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the engagement letter 
• Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen 
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges 
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues 

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of Research and Development tax issues, analyzing organizations and maximizing the R&D tax benefit. Knowledge of interviewing clients in order to better recognize tax liability savings in the R&D environment
• Technical skills with research credit regulations from the IRS, research credit case law, and utilizing R&D databases
• Knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment
• Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients; utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements 
• Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies
