About the opportunity:
Northspyre is looking for a Real Estate Project Delivery Researcher to join our fast-growing venture-backed start-up team. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact at a start-up disrupting the $10.5 trillion dollar real estate industry. The Real Estate Project Delivery Researcher will be a key member of our team to help scale our business to the next level.
A successful Real Estate Project Delivery Researcher will have the ability to synthesize, draw insights, and establish solutions from a high volume of construction project data and contracts. In this role, you will use these insights to work with internal teams to further the features, products, and marketing materials for Northspyre. You will think outside of the box and excel at leveraging data and research to find answers out of ambiguity. Your impact will be synthesizing billions of dollars worth of data points to uncover insights and drive innovation and growth within Northspyre and the real estate industry as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Comb through existing project data, pulling insights about the various reasons that projects do not finish on time and on budget
- Comfortable sifting through and organizing massive amounts of structured and unstructured data and documents to identify patterns and insights
- Translate learnings and research into medium that can be used to educate real estate teams on improving project delivery and outcomes.
- Synthesize internal data with external market research to propose solutions to common problems that arise in real estate construction projects
- Clearly communicate research internally to senior management and various teams through graphs, charts, written reports, etc.
- Provide insights to the Product team to aid them in addressing common issues
- Work with the Marketing team to provide insights for marketing materials
- Be a subject matter expert on past, current, and future trends in the real estate industry
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Real Estate Development, Construction or a related field
- Track record of research on the construction and real estate development industry
- Experience delivering and presenting reports
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data, identify trends, and synthesize into relevant conclusions
- Ability to work with ambiguity / working in the gray
- Have a hunger to innovate and achieve results
- Excellent problem-solving and an eagerness to learn
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Strong sense of intellectual curiosity
Bonus Points if You Have
- 1+ years of experience managing and/or consulting on real estate development projects
- Knowledge of Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc)
- Strong familiarity with statistics principles and building statistical models
- Have worked in academia conducting primary source research related to construction and real estate and authored (or assisted in authoring) research papers on the topic
