Real-Time C++ Software Developer

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Simpli.fi is currently looking for a C++ Developer to join our Inventory and Targeting Value Stream. Our Value Stream is responsible for building impactful customer products while tackling real-time software problems at scales up to one terabyte an hour. We keep our fleet of bidding, budgeting, ad serving, and telemetry servers fast and feature-rich. We even maintain a couple of open source projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Gathering and understanding requirements.
• Planning and estimating projects.
• Architecting and designing C++ software.
• Testing, reviewing, and developing code.
• Deploying, monitoring, and maintaining solutions (i.e., "DevOps").

YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• 5 years of experience in Modern C++.
• Good working knowledge of Modern C++17 or later
• OO Design and Development
• Low Latency experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Boost and STL
• Experience with Unix/Linux OS
• Experience using and creating automated unit and system tests
• Knowledge and prior use of online source code management systems
• Collaborative working style
• Strong growth mindset
• Coaching and mentoring experience

OTHER HELPFUL EXPERIENCE

• Building apps with Elixir
• Docker and VM Environments
• Agile development methodologies
• Strong relationship database experience

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Simpli.fi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the base range is $125,000 to $145,000.
