Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.
The Real-world Claims Data Analyst will be responsible for serving as the subject-matter-expert for the Tempus health claims data product, lead health claims related analyses across the company, and mentor other scientists in performing claims-related analyses. This is a cross-functional role within Clinical Development working closely with Data Science, Real-World Data, Product, and Engineering to ensure that Tempus real-world health claims data can be utilized by both internal and external stakeholders for retrospective study design and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop logic for complex data fields in Tempus health claims data product and integration of claims data and clinical data
- Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on strengths and limitations of health claims data for both internal and external users
- Lead internal validation, clinical utility and economic utility studies on health claims data
- Advise on the design, execution, and dissemination of the results for claims-related projects for internal and external stakeholders
Suggested Qualifications (feel encouraged to apply even if not all are met):
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in health economics, epidemiology, statistics, or related field
- 2+ years of industry experience in analyzing real-world health claims dataΒ
- Experience working with datasets in at least one of the following areas: genetic testing, oncology, pharmaceuticals
- Strong computational skills, preferably with fluency in Python or R
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in well-respected journals; especially in those where you played a driving role
- Excellent communication via speech, text, and graphics
- Strategic thinker and implementer
- A sense of humility and an eagerness to contribute to a supportive, interdisciplinary team
