Receiving Associate

As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in our distribution center operations. Your responsibilities will include the safe and efficient operation of various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and the Destuff-it machine. Utilizing your expertise with WMS/RF hand scanners, you will perform receiving and replenishment tasks, ensuring accurate documentation against purchase orders. Key Responsibilities:

• Receives incoming product against appropriate purchase orders, completing paperwork as required
• You will be required to unloading trucks and palletizing products
• Organizes incoming inventory deliveries for proper storage and placement
• Efficiently stocks shelves with newly packaged items from the packaging department
• Consolidates primary and overstock locations to effectively utilize the cubic space of the distribution center
• Evaluate and determine status of product returns from customers
• Responsible for placing incoming items into inventory; Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality
• Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments
• Meeting and striving to exceed productivity standards, completing tasks in a timely manner.
• Willingness to undergo cross-training in various areas within the distribution center.
• Occasionally picks customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is packed and meet standards
• Helps maintain area cleanliness and organization
• Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the distribution center
• Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required
• Perform all other tasks as required when assigned

Required Capabilities:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy
• Ability to work independently and stay on task to complete given assignments
• 2+ years recent forklift experience (High Reach Forklift / Sit Down Forklift)
• 2+ years of working in a Receiving Department and solid grasp on inventory management
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, 60 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to work standing/walking for the duration of the work day
• Strong math skills and analytical skills
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
• Willing to work overtime when necessary
• Must be able to visually distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects
• Ability to perform basic functions on a computer
• Must be able to get along well with a variety of different people and work as part of team
