We’re looking for a Recommendation Analyst II to join our Business Reliability Engineering (BRE) team who are passionate about surfacing actionable insights through data. If you love diving deep into a problem to understand what's driving the signal you're seeing then surfacing data-driven insights that lead to tangible business results, this role could be for you.

What you'll do:
  • Use internal data to identify inefficiencies with our site, then drive further investigation into those anomalies
  • Conduct analysis and design investigations to better understand loss of efficiency and data veracity
  • Partner with engineering, data science, and marketing stakeholders to drive analysis and help support their business objectives
  • Perform exploratory analysis to create hypotheses, identify gaps, and measure impact from site incidents
  • Identify opportunities for product or process improvements that promote the goals of your team and internal stakeholders
What we are looking for:
  • 2+ years of analytics experience and BS in Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or Economics
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Looker/Tableau for insight synthesis and presentation

  • Understanding of software development, especially in building automation and anomaly detection
  • A creative problem-solving mindset
  • Great communication skills with analysts and non-analysts alike
  • An ownership mindset, and a willingness to drive your analysis forward until clarity is reached
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and often ambiguous work environment
  • Exposure to Python a plus
