Reconciliation Team Lead

Position Overview

The Reconciliation Team Lead is responsible for the daily and month end general ledger/sub-ledger account reconciliations for Loan and Deposit Operations. The reconciling responsibilities include multiple clearing, cash, and DDA accounts as well as bank to bank cash reconciliations and balance sheet accounts associated with the core accounting system. Team Lead will have daily oversight responsibilities for the staff and perform management reviews of the wok performed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, organize, and direct the daily workflow of the reconciliation team to ensure timely and accurate processing.

• ·Oversee daily manual reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Provides documentation necessary for operations personnel to identify and clear outstanding items or work with other departments to clear outstanding items within the standard timeframe.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations as it relates to reconciliations.

• Implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and increase accuracy.

• Address reconciliation servicing issues and requests from internal partners.

• Act as a liaison with various internal partners to facilitate inquiries, fundings to ensure timely clearance of reconciling items.

• Guide and lead staff to ensure high level of productivity and continued development of individual knowledge.

• Primary resource for staff on daily functional questions and guidance in the processing.

• Secondary review of reconciliations documents to ensure accuracy.

• Assist in the process of the daily BTEs (batch transaction entry)

• Establish and maintain relationships with customer, business partners and team members to ensure an exceptional client experience.

• Assist with special projects, as necessary.

• Support management with various operational duties and responsibilities.

• ·requirements through analysis of repetitive errors and provides information to management for resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of banking experience

• 2 years of reconciliation experience

• College degree preferred but commensurate work experience will be considered.

• Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and Outlook required.

• Accounting experience preferred
