Records Management Business Project Advisor- Hybrid
Job Description
The Records Management Business Project Advisor will serve as a subject matter expert and advocate as we advance the maturity of Cigna's Records Management program. The Advisor will provide ongoing critical analysis of Cigna's Records Management processes with the goal of driving ongoing process improvement, efficiency, and optimization; to accomplish this, the Advisor will employ creative problem solving in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program. The Advisor will partner with Business Champions, Technology, and other stakeholders, to drive successful deployment and ongoing compliance with Cigna's Records Management program. The Advisor will navigate competing priorities of cross-functional partners and work via influence to advance the understanding of and compliance with our Records Management program. The Advisor will ensure that Records Management processes and standards are clearly documented and appropriately communicated; perform regular evaluations of business and technology compliance; ensure retention periods are appropriately defined and implemented; and maintain the effectiveness of the Records Management program. This position will manage multiple individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. In addition, the Advisor will be enthusiastic in addressing new challenges as we continue to mature our Records Management program across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and/or support individual project or process improvement efforts to support maturation of the records management program
- Provide Records Management governance direction for all questions, concerns and issues; provide input in establishing goals and objectives and executing Records Management work plans; share and encourage the implementation of leading practices to improve Cigna's Records Management program
- Develop trusted internal client relationships with key partners; collaborate with other colleagues, both within and outside of Records Management practice
- Collaborate with prioritized Business and Technology partners to conduct gap analysis against Cigna's Records Management standards and guidance, define and report on risks, support the generation of project plans to mitigate gaps, and monitor and report ongoing remediation progress
- Perform Records Management operational tasks; lead and/or participate in records management innovation projects
- Contribute to the development of new programs, policies, and procedures to support internal stakeholders' initiatives
- Ensure client and member perspectives are considered in decision making processes
- Provide requirements and partner with Technology to generate leadership-level reporting on key performance indicators and key risk indicators
- Partner with Communication and Training teams to develop and execute on enterprise wide change management initiatives, included enterprise-level and targeted communication and training campaigns
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare or records management/governance
- A bachelor's degree
- Ability to manage multiple high impact projects and satisfy requirements from multiple customers/stakeholders
- Must have strong working knowledge of MS office, Visio, Project and SharePoint
- Must be equally strong in planning, executing, and closing of projects
- Must have strong organizational skills, including identifying stakeholders, arranging/managing meetings and follow-ups
- This is a project funded role.
- Must have ability to navigate day-to-day activities and look into the bigger picture to identify risks and issues proactively
- *This role is a Hybrid role, WAH/ Flex, you will be required to go into an office at times.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
