Records Management Specialist 3

Job Description

ASRC Federal Mission Services, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Records Management Specialist 3 (RMS 3) to support our on-going programs at the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in San Francisco, CA.

ASRC Federal Mission Services holds a nationwide contract for library and records management services with the EPA. ASRC librarians, records managers and support staff collect, organize and maintain library and records materials; assist EPA and external customers with document delivery, reference and research services, etc.

The full time RMS 3 will support research and records management for EPA Region 9 Regional Records Center on EPA IMCS IV ASRC Federal Mission Services Task Orders 62 63. The RMS 3 is responsible for the successful completion of assigned tasks as directed by the Records Information Manager 4 (RIM 4)/ Task Order Manager (TOM).

Training will be provided in the use of multiple types of agency-utilized applications. Responsibilities include compliance with accepted quality control standards to ensure acceptable finished product.

This is largely an onsite position, with potential for some remote work.

Requirements

• College degree or three (3) years of records management /library related experience highly preferred
• Background in performing records management practices
• Experience performing detailed research using various types of databases and/or records management related applications
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment and prioritize tasks appropriately, with concern for detail, accuracy, and stringent quality assurance requirements
• Ability to communicate in a timely and effective manner via multiple communications platforms (email, phone, Microsoft Teams, instant messaging, as well as in-person)
• Experience working both as part of a team, as well as independently, and with effective time management skills
• Experience using Windows, all Microsoft Office tools, and Adobe Acrobat (Experience with SharePoint/OneDrive also preferred)
• Experience working remotely preferred
• Dedication to providing a high level of customer satisfaction

Physical requirements: Full range of arm movement (e.g., lifting above the head), ability to do data entry and sit or stand for long periods of time

Occasional/potentially required: Usage of step ladders to reach higher shelves, ability to lift at least 40 pounds in weight, pushing or pulling cart up to 160 pounds, and the ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
