Records Management Specialist

Job Description

ASRC Federal Mission Services, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Records Management Specialist to support our nationwide contract to provide the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with library and records management services. Duties may include records scanning/imaging, participation in records organization projects, preparing and shipping large batches of records to off-site storage, producing records collections on electronic media (CD), maintaining daily activity statistics, and producing monthly activity reports. The ideal candidate should be organized and detail-oriented. This is NOT a remote work position.

Requirements

• 2-3 years records management experience preferred, including scanning, filing paper and electronic records, entering data into records management systems, preparing records for disposition or retiring, and usage of records retention schedules.
• BA/BS preferred.
• Customer service skills, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and on teams, to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, to prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects, to quickly adapt to change, and to meet deadlines.
• Physical requirements include full range of arm motion, including lifting above the head, ability to bend, stoop and kneel, ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. in weight, to push or pull 200 lbs. on carts, ability to use step ladders to reach materials on upper shelves. Candidate should also be comfortable sitting/standing at computer workstation for long periods of time.
