Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a Recreation Services Coordinator, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and maintain departmental payroll, flex utilization and daily attendance records of all employees
  • Maintain department and employee records, establish files, prepare memoranda and correspondence for management review and approval
  • Maintain weekly schedule of employees and posts on a timely basis
  • Facilitate the scheduling and monitoring of technician scheduling
  • Prepare employee paperwork as it pertains to counseling, new hires, leaves of absence, status change forms, requisitions, attendance, separation forms, etc.
  • Answer telephone, receive, open and distribute incoming mail and faxes as directed
  • Conduct random departmental file audits and ensure employees adhere to appropriate policies
  • Coordinate and oversee Extra Board scheduling and tracking in accordance with set departmental service contribution guidelines
  • Prepare product and supply requisitions and verify items to ensure orders are not duplicated
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with booking group spa reservations, including communication with Conference Center departments and meeting planners
  • Audit gift certificate issues, logs and tracking
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in a similar resort setting
