Job Summary:

As a member of our human resources department, the Recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting. Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures, and hosting or participating in career events. To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop long-term recruiting strategies, identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with hiring managers, identify potential "fit" through effective interviewing, and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires to create strong talent pipelines for Blue Diamond Growers' current and future hiring needs. Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies are the primary responsibilities of this role to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to identify staffing needs
  • Determine selection criteria based on specific job descriptions
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System
  • Lead employer branding initiatives
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events
  • Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2 years of experience as a Recruiter or supporting role
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Proven ability to communicate and effectively "sell" an organization's value proposition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet
  • Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems

Total minimum number of years of experience required in lieu of degree

  • 5 years

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, CPG, food/beverage a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally required to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily a mix of hands-on laboratory and office environments. At times, work in a pilot plant or manufacturing facility may be required. The incumbent must be able to climb stairs/ladders and occasionally conduct work on elevated platforms.
