Overstory’s mission is to help solve our climate crisis by providing real-time intelligence about the planet’s vegetation. In our first step toward this mission, we are applying machine learning to satellite imagery to track forests and vegetation. Today, we proudly partner with 40+ leading utilities worldwide, including 4 of the top 10 US utilities, to help reduce wildfire risk and increase grid reliability to prevent power outages.

We’re looking to hire a recruiter to run our recruitment from strategy to execution, working hand-in-hand with our hiring managers and external recruitment agencies. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated People team that enables our Overstory colleagues to thrive and excel.
You will be part of a small team of four, working closely with the Head of People. Your job will be to find great candidates across the globe, run the recruitment and selection process and take it to the next level. The key market you will be focusing on is Tech professionals in Europe and the UK.
You work closely with our hiring managers to find the best candidates and make sure they have a great candidate experience throughout the recruitment process - from first connection to signed contract.
You’ll work in an agile manner, learning from internal and external feedback, iterating quickly, and deciding when to build for a scalable future and when to hack it together. The role will encompass hands-on recruitment work, such as writing vacancies, sourcing candidates, CV screening, conducting interviews and organizing and attending recruitment events. It will also include shaping our recruitment strategy, deciding on the best recruitment channel(s) for a search, negotiating with and selecting suppliers, and improving our recruitment processes.
You’re comfortable with the ambiguity that comes with working at an early-stage startup and you don’t need to have everything well-defined before you act. You can think both short- and long-term so that you can meet near-term deadlines while iterating toward a future vision. You’re able to zoom out and think strategically, while also being extremely detail-oriented in the hands-on work of getting candidates through the door. You understand that effective communication is an important part of your work, so you can manage expectations well to hiring managers while keeping a good working relationship. You balance quality, speed and cost effectiveness in the decisions you take. You have a passion for the urgency of solving our climate crisis.

3-5 years of experience as a recruiter, including experience in sourcing candidates and conducting interviews.

Experience with recruiting in the Tech sector, preferably in Europe and the UK.

A proven ability to juggle quality and speed.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

An obsession with solving problems and creating the best possible candidate experience.

Ideally, you’re in a time zone + / - 1 hour from CET.

We work remotely from eleven different countries and meet up once a year in-person for our unforgettable team gathering event. We also offer the option to occasionally meet up for in-person collaboration.
