Recycling Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for reprocessing off-quality material to be reused in the process

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate recycle equipment
• Inspect incoming material and pellet quality; and effectively trouble-shoot operability and quality issues.
• Using time efficiently
• Proactively take advantage of opportunities to help meet production goals by assisting teammates on the orientation lines as needed.
• Recycle operator is expected to take ownership of area and demonstrate their knowledge of expertise

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or GED
• 36 months manufacturing experience
• 12 months recycle experience required
• Candidate should have extensive knowledge of Oriented polypropylene process
• Working knowledge of winding, recycle, customer FFU needs and be able to identify recycle quality concerns
• Able to perform in a team environment
• Good oral/written communication and math skills required
• Attention to detail
• Concern for effectiveness
