Red Team Leader

Role Overview:

At McAfee, we prioritise the security of our environment since it is a key tool in providing industry leading protection to our customers. With this in mind, we are searching for a proactive and experienced Adversary Emulation (Red Team) Lead to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) and lead efforts to identify and coordinate mitigation of risks to our network, DevOps pipeline, and critical development processes.
This role is key to protecting our digital assets by emulating threat actors, executing advanced attack techniques, and working collaboratively across the SOC, information security and development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in offensive security, hands-on leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement in defending against evolving cyber threats.

About the Role:

• Manages the development, deployment and execution of controls and defenses to ensure the security and risk mitigation of company infrastructure technology, information systems and digital payment systems.
• Identifies cybersecurity architecture, goals, objectives and metrics; analyzes business needs and priorities for protection of critical systems.
• Establishes and implements operational policies and appropriate standards and criteria for hardware, software, email and web firewall, access verification and encryption requirements.
• Monitors systems for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, threats and events, oversees incident response planning, and leads vulnerability audits and forensic investigations.
• Evaluates potential business impacts from security breaches and provides strategic and tactical guidance to business decision-makers.
• Develops and executes security systems compliance policies and procedures.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

About You:

• 10+ years of professional experience in cyber security or related field.
• Proven technical task management experience.
• Physical Penetration testing experience.
• Experience exploit development and or reverse engineering.
• Technical knowledge or experience developing in-house scripting.
• Strong practical knowledge of standard exploitation methodologies, system scanning, surveys, and network topology.
• Advanced understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems internals
• Ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely.
