The successful Solution Architect will be a part of the Business Development team and participate in all phases of the business development life cycle including opportunity assessment, strategy workshops, Black Hat competitive assessments, competitive technical solutions, and technical solution development.

Responsibilities:

Business Development

• The Solution Architect will be the technical team member in our fast-paced growing environment supporting new business capture by developing innovative solutions.

• The individual will be teamed with Capture and Operations personnel to help uncover and develop best-in-class solutions to meet customer needs.

• Responsible for defining, writing, and driving the technical direction of prospective business opportunities, developing system architectures, and providing technical leadership for proposals and strategic pursuits.

Customer Facing

• Facilitation of workshops tailored to Container Infrastructure design, implementation, and

maintenance or Automation Platform and Use-Case design, implementation, and

maintenance.

• Synthesizing information gathered from workshops into a cohesive set of reports that guide a

customer through the next 18-months of their adoption with the Red Hat Product.

• Support the presentation of recommendations to Internal and External stakeholders and field

adhoc questions.

• Lead customers through a targeted over the shoulder style engagement that accelerates

adoption by mitigating direct challenges.

Internal Support of Adoption

• Develop and maintenance of workshop materials, including Miro based templates, delivery

guides, and recommendations repositories.

• Experiment with new methodologies developed through the Red Hat Business Units,

Services, and other facets of the OpenShift and Ansible ecosystem to maintain knowledge of

Best Practices.

• Mentor other Red Hat associates, Partners, and Open Source Community members with

lessons learned from our work with customers

• Learn new technologies quickly, including topics like container orchestration, container

registries, container build strategies, and microservices on container platforms

Requirements

• 8 years' experience with developing proposals for Federal IT customers

• 4+ years of Red Hat product implementation experience; 2+ of those years specifically

focused on cloud-ready systems for application design and deployment

• Hands-on and experienced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Advanced Cluster

Management (ACM) and Red Hat Advance Container Security (ACS)

• Hands-on and experienced knowledge of Red Hat Automation Platform, Ansible Tower, and

Ansible Playbooks.

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) proficient

• Solid creative problem-solving skills

• Background working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT and business executives

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Experience supporting proposal efforts, comprising a diverse matrixed team of technical specialists, and involving the development of novel or innovative new solutions

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; works with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and effectively communicate changes

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline, Master's degree desired.
