Reference Data Product Business Relationship Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders from aligned business group
- Provide Reference Data Product solutions based on a deep understanding of the business function and its reference data needs
- Develop Reference Data as an Asset, capable of delivering measurable value to the aligned business group
- Liaise with Reference Data Product Solutions and Portfolio Management teams to size business solution efforts and secure funding in the book of work
- Build business case for proposed solutions to demonstrate business value added through implementation of reference data solutions
- Manage and develop junior staff
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of prior experience in a relationship management / account manager / consulting role in the Financial Services industry
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience required
- Demonstrated thought leadership in one or more reference data domains, with proven ability to design and deliver strategic solutions to data challenges
- A deep understanding of the data and regulatory risks impacting our reference data consumers, and the governance controls required to manage those risks
- Strong data analytics skills, with direct experience analyzing large datasets using Excel and SQL
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills with the ability to build trust with the customer, understand their needs, have a problem-solving attitude, manage expectations and negotiate where required
- Proven ability to develop /motivate staff, delegate, make decisions, deal with conflict / difficult situations and be strategic
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
- Strong presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to express solutions visually (via Powerpoint) and professionally for Senior Management consumption
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to quickly understand and learn topics not part of current skillset or knowledge base
- Ability in and awareness of data analytics concepts and practices
- Possess a passion for data as an asset
