Responsibilities

This position is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving unauthorized Debit Card and/or ACH activity on customer accounts in accordance with the regulations and compliance.

  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Process unauthorized or disputed debit card transactions.
  • Issue provisional credits, final credits, charge backs, and process adjustments within regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare communication to customers regarding claim status.
  • Provide clearing sheets to Reconcilement Representative I to assist in clearing Reg. E items from the ATM Reconcilement.
  • Provide assistance to branches and customers regarding disputes.
  • Keep up to date on any changes in Regulations.
  • Work with Compliance and Audit to maintain regulatory standards.
  • Cooperate with other members of the department to achieve departmental goals and provide quality customer service.
  • As an integral member of the Deposit Operations Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Deposit Operations Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
  • Proficient reading; writing, grammar, and mathematical skills; strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, and have excellent organizational and data entry skills.
  • At least one (1) year of office-related experience in a fast-paced environment, in banking or a similarly regulated field required.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
