Job Description

Develop and target regional accounts and prospects in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve contract, revenue growth, account milestone objectives, and activity expectations within an assigned account/geography. Host on-site Quarterly Business Reviews with key accounts, conduct site visits for hazardous waste needs and services. This position is based in the Seattle - Tacoma Metropolitan region. Preferred candidate will possess experience in the Environmental Health and Safety marketplace and will reside anywhere from Olympia to Bellingham with a greater focus on Tacoma and Seattle. Territory:  Seattle / Tacoma Metropolitan Area

  • Must be outgoing and willing to cold call on industry specific accounts. Sell in a highly consultative manner, explaining RCRA, DOE, or other regulatory compliance requirements as needed including the benefits of working with Clean Earth brand over other traditional waste service companies and direct competition. See minimum qualifications.
  • Create and drive the profiling process for expedited service
  • Pass the HAZWOPER and RCRA 40-hr Training courses
  • Create and deliver presentations for key sales customers and prospects.
  • Coordinate the development of sales objectives, strategies, advertising and promotional programs and ensures their execution.
  • Provide management with information used to evaluate regional & national opportunities.
  • Promote customer brand loyalty by participating in or joining regional/national professional organizations that serve the regional marketplace and/or consumers.
  • Develop account specific strategies and plans -- and execute against those plans -- to win national and regional in the manufacturing and industrial market space.
  • Make daily calls on new prospects within the targeted market place, along with identifying leads via a variety of internet websites, networking, key vendors and peers within local and national organizations.
  • Monitor and communicate sales performance against goals through approved performance metrics.
  • Document and log all communications, sales progress and activity within the company mandated CRM
Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sciences.
  • 5 or more years experience in Environmental or Hazardous /Non Hazardous or Waste industries. 
  • Knowledge or understanding of RCRA, DOT, EPA and or DOE regulations or understanding of the Environmental Industry and the profiling process required
  • Able to explain technical and regulatory solutions in layman’s terms
  • Able to travel 50% within the territory and select trade shows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales experience a plus
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple accounts, or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • Demonstrates established relationships or the ability to rapidly establish relationships within the Environmental Health and Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain.
  • RCRA or HAZWOPER training a plus
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) a plus
  • Operations and Marketing functions within the manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to travel daily within the assigned territory.
  • Possess established relationships or demonstrates the ability to rapidly establish relationships within the C-level, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations Departments within the M&I industry
