This position is responsible for maximizing sales opportunities for specific FleetPride Regional Account customers by developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with our large, multi-site Regional Accounts. The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will lead the establishment, negotiation, implementation, and compliance of agreements which drive profitable growth for FleetPride. The RAM will focus on deploying site specific customer strategies and programs to retain existing business, improve penetration and growth share of wallet. The RAM will provide sales leadership to, and partner with field sales & operations leadership and internal FleetPride resources to embed FleetPride’s value proposition and solutions across local Regional Account sites to help customers reduce total cost of ownership. Each Regional Account will generally represent current sales greater than $500K with significant growth potential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • RAM will be responsible for growing and supporting 25-40 regional accounts allowing adequate time to develop relationships with multiple contacts, hold formalized quarterly business reviews, and to promote macro level programs.
  • Develop strong relationships across the customer’s organization to influence decision makers at all levels and drive compliance. This includes the customer’s corporate headquarters, key regional maintenance contacts as well as the local maintenance shops in each market.
  • Manage and maintain pricing strategy for multiple locations. Expand product categories for greater share of wallet plus conceive and implement new programs to drive FleetPride margin improvement.
  • Manage extensive travel based on priorities and be responsible for customer action planning and project management to meet growth objectives.
  • Negotiate sound and favorable agreements and or contracts designed to drive incremental business to FleetPride.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact to the customer’s corporate office.
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to FleetPride Branch Managers, Outside Sales Reps and internal FleetPride resources relative to the strategic and tactical implementation of customer specific programs

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent business experience preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Utilization of SalesForce.com and or other CRM tools
  • Utilization of virtual meeting tools

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Proximity to a major airport.
  • Willing and able to travel by plane or car often.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy duty truck parts industry
  • Understanding of the structure of our FleetPride sales force and branches, preferred
  • Understanding of the heavy-duty truck business. Prior experience in the heavy-duty industry preferred
  • Understanding of quantitative/qualitative analysis
  • Understanding of analytical, statistical, and financial processes and procedures
  • Strong professionalism, credibility, and interpersonal skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Field Based position which reports directly to the Regional Sales Director
  • This position requires an autonomous thinker and self-starter that can work in an environment with a great deal of ambiguity, while leveraging the vast resources of FleetPride in a field-based position.
  • Manages key supplier & interpersonal relationships to ensure successful program implementation.
  • The ability to travel 50% - 70% or more of the time based on the locations of the Regional Accounts.
