JOB OVERVIEW
As a part of the field sales team, the Regional Agronomist, Seed will work closely with FBN Account Executives and Community Builders to support seed sales and engagement with FBN's digital tools in their assigned region. They will be the local product expert for FBN's seed products, and will ensure that the products are positioned to maximize a farmer's return on investment. The Regional Agronomist, Seed will enable local farmer members to utilize FBN's industry-leading digital tools to provide additional value to their farming operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Regional product expertise and agronomic support of FBN's seed portfolio
  • Experimental seed product evaluation and assessment for potential commercialization
  • Sell the value of FBN's digital tools to local members and Community Builders
  • Enable and assist local FBN members to democratize their data by sharing their seed tags, invoices, and precision data with FBN
  • Analyze local agronomic and yield data
  • Plan and execute local sales training sessions on FBN's seed and digital products for FBN Account Executives and Community Builders
  • Plan, coordinate and execute local field days to demonstrate the value of FBN's seed and digital products
  • Regular travel within the Southern Region : New Mexico to North Carolina

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience working directly with farmers in the agriculture industry, preferably in seed sales/agronomy
  • Certified Crop Advisor status, or willingness to earn CCA certification within 12 months
  • Experience with digital farming tools and precision agriculture
  • Leadership skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for agriculture and FBN's "Farmers First" mission

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $85,000 - $105,000.
This salary range may vary based on geography and variations in cost of labor. Beyond the above or adjusted to market salary range, FBN also offers all full-time employees competitive equity compensation, health and wellness benefits, and various perks.
