Regional Community Engagement Manager - Atlanta
ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT
The Regional Community Engagement Manger will work closely with the AVP, Regional Community Engagement in their region to coordinate initiatives designed to promote the organization and its services to the community. The Regional Community Engagement Manager will build relationships with community leaders and serve as the organization's liaison with various constituents in an area identified by the AVP, Regional Community Engagement and the SVP, Foundation President. This role will plan, execute and attend key VyStar community and sponsorship events within that identified region and support other initiatives throughout the region.
Essential Job Functions
Regional Strategy and Planning Support
- In partnership with AVP of Regional Community Engagement, supports the community engagement strategy for region.
- Supports AVP in the partnership with Regional Vice Presidents and Branch Vice Presidents to establish local grassroot strategies and review requests with centralized community team.
- Supports the AVP to partner with Regional DEI and Government Affairs regional team members.
- Supports AVP with budget processes and procedures
- Represent VyStar at regional events, press conferences, etc.
Lead Outreach and Partnerships
- In a regional submarket designated by the Regional AVP and SVP Foundation President, lead and maintain active engagement across the submarket to have a pulse on key needs and opportunities for VyStar to be impactful in the communities we serve.
- Identify key organizations that align with VyStarโs community strategy and develop holistic opportunities to partner across giving, volunteerism, events, board involvement, and mentoring/consulting.
- Pull together proposals for AVP and SVP Foundation President, and other leadership as necessary.
- Maintain communications and relationships.
- Report on results of partnerships.
Event Leadership and Coordination
- In coordination with AVP and key organizational partners, support the Regional AVP in community event activations in planning and attending community events across the Atlanta region.
- Lead event activations in the subregion designated by AVP.
- Establishes and promotes member/employee benefits, tickets, and giveaways.
- Coordinates VyStar volunteers.
- Coordinates signage, activation spaces, giveaways, advertising, tents, etc.
- Measures results and recognizes participants.
Activation and Volunteerism
- Coordinate with marketing partners to ensure proper advertising, promotion, social engagement, public relations, and branding for community engagements.
- Coordinate with sales teams to activate opportunities through our community partnerships.
- Inspire VyStar regional staff to deeply engage in doing good through volunteerism and employee giving.
- Track and report on results.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelorโs degree preferred
- 3+ years of work experience in community engagement and/or equivalent combination of education and significant relevant experience.
- Experience in Community Engagement preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in presentations in a business setting.
- Strong computer skills and an above average knowledge of the latest Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Photoshop
- Results oriented with strong strategic, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- High level of initiative and ability to work independently.
- Ability to participate in local events afterhours and on the weekend. Local/regional travel is required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong team orientation and ability to work with people from all business areas and levels.
- Ability to work with varying levels of internal constituents and develop communication for various internal levels.
