Regional Data & Analytics Director

D&A exists to infuse decision-making at each level of RC with relevant facts and insights built from unified data assets. We are searching for an experienced Data & Analytics (D&A) senior professional to

  • Join the RC D&A Leadership Team
  • Be accountable for the elaboration and delivery of the Regional Royal Canin Powered By Data strategy
  • Work closely with the business stakeholders in developing a pipeline of projects
  • Partner with the global teams to nurture and help data-driven culture to thrive and propagate in Royal Canin
  • Facilitate the improvement of the data architecture, and infrastructure and improve the data quality, breadth, and richness in Royal Canin and PetCare
  • The role reports to the North America, S&OP+ VP and Divisional Data & Analytics Director on a dotted line
  • This role will develop and articulate the strategic data and analytics roadmap in support of Royal Canin in the region with the NA Regional Leadership Team and the RC Divisional D&A Director
  • The appointed candidate & team will be accountable for business engagement, prioritization of use cases, and workstreams including actionable insights generation, analytical products, data products, services, performance analytics, and advanced analytics to drive sustainable regional growth
  • Working closely with Global Petcare, RC Digital Technologies, & the rest of the RC Data & Analytics organization, influence the Data Strategy, cultivate the mindset, and hold accountable the RC data engineering team for the creation and maintenance of data in support of Royal Canin's ambition to help improve Pet Health in the region
  • Directly involved in strategic decisions, identifying breakthrough solutions to critical business problems to ensure we have a competitive advantage in the marketplace in the region
  • The job holder is accountable for regional Data Governance and ensuring the regional Data & Analytics agenda is aligned with business priorities, directing the budget, managing, and developing talent
  • Agree and monitor the KPIs and metrics for regional Data & Analytics workstreams
  • Highly visible, the job holder is the Data & Analytics leader of Royal Canin in the region, sharing products/tools/results throughout the regional organization

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead & Build the Regional D&A capabilities (people, process, tech, and data), drive the transformation of the regional organization to become data driven
  • Deliver results in line with regional OGSM and specific to function, the value created, # of projects, and the time to complete
  • Create with the rest of the D&A Leadership, the Royal Canin Regional D&A strategy and educate leadership and broader organization on the possibilities of new data sets and technologies at a strategic level
  • Work with Royal Canin Digital teams to build and drive these capabilities within Royal Canin
  • Translate business needs and frame business problems in creative ways and solve them through the application of big data, analytics, and research capabilities developed by their team
  • On the critical issue of data privacy and governance, ensure that RC in the region builds a data ecosystem in a responsible and legal manner
  • Manage regional D&A vendors and budget (SWB, Ad Hoc Analytics/Data Spend).
  • As a member of the D&A Leadership, lead Regional Royal Canin D&A Associates, lead the capability agenda (incl. new methodologies and tools), engagement, and talent pipeline at Royal Canin.
  • Oversight of Performance Analytics team focused on performance tracking/visualizations, insight generation, BI tool enhancements, operational reporting, territory management, storytelling, and result driven decision making
  • Leverage Power BI and Data Lake access across the organization as "One Source of Truth" to create efficiency, convert data into insights, and generate faster decision making
  • Link into the Annual Business Planning process and develop KPIs for dashboarding and measurement
