Job Description

This position has the responsibility for leading the Engineering Excellence function and initiatives for the North America Lifecycle Services. Its main vision is to support, create and drive Technical Excellence and Strategic Workforce Planning frameworks for a combined solutions and services structure in the region (Resource Management Office). Looking for driving consistency and improved Customer Experience. The role will actively promote and support delivery teams to provide Engineering Excellence and build and sustain their delivery capability. Strong teaming is required with the ability to influence other stakeholders without having direct hierarchical authority. Its leadership includes grouping all Engineering Managers across Life Cycle Services North America. The Regional Engineering Manager will also work closely with the global team and other functional groups to ensure EHS and Manufacturing Improvement, looking for the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Engineering Excellence
  • Fosters improvement and usage of hardware and software standards, systems, processes, and productivity tools that guide and facilitate delivery.
  • Provide required technical and application guidance and review to the regional commercial team, in their effort to secure projects.
  • Provide and support Risk Reviews for Solutions & Services on proposals and projects.
  • Responsible for oversight and coordination of technical resources within the region.
  • Review and evaluate engineering and technology service vendors, in conjunction with SSO.
  • Custodian of regional standard and repeatable solutions and be the regional SME representative.
  • Coordinate & work with delivery leaders to document engineering solutions.
  • Adopt and align engineering practices in line with international and regional standards.
  • Lead the team to adopt new industry solutions from other regional/global teams.
  • Obtain feedback from customers regarding technical deployments.
  • Assure that our deliverables are consistent with the last IT guidance in Cybersecurity.


Workforce Engineering Excellence and Resource Management Office (RMO)
  • Maintains and improves engineering delivery capability for the region, and establishes procedures and guidelines to achieve competitive engineering costs and lead times by standardization.
  • Working actively to improve our Blended Rates, through GEC, CWF, REC, etc.
  • Lead the efforts and be accountable for the Strategic Workforce Plan (SWP) and the SWP Management in LCS NA. Work in conjunction with Local and Global Engineering Managers and SMEs on the commercial side. Assure this plan is aligned with Strategy, Plans, and Global Workforce and Competency Segment.
  • Lead Capacity Plans for the Delivery and Operations team in LCS NA. Provide input in the AOP process.
  • Keep the engineering community updated about new solutions, services, and technical trends in all areas.
  • Assure QMS, Technical knowledge, and Cybersecurity requirements and guidance are spread in all engineering communities.
  • Assure the support of the delivery community in Technology and Information Security matters, through SMEs.
  • Keep Engineering Domain Expertise (Commercial & Delivery) mapped consistently and let the opportunity of the most experienced Engineers to spread their know-how.
  • In conjunction with regional business leaders, share technical and delivery capability aspects to annual BSR, give strategic direction and focus on Customer Lifecycle.
  • Monitor EHS metrics periodically and educate all Life Cycle S NA resources for safe working practices and environment.
  • Responsible for driving GEC for engineering support and developing tools/methodologies for engineering efficiencies.
  • Responsible for delivering great customer satisfaction in conjunction with the NA Delivery team.


Global
  • Collaborate with other global/regional engineering leaders to identify and implement requirements/priorities for engineering strategy and execution
  • Coordinate planning of SMEs/key resources with global COE teams and other regional engineering leaders
  • Identifies regional best practices, and gaps, in engineering delivery processes, determines priorities and executes plans to address gaps
  • Be the primary SPOC between regional and global teams for sharing new Global portfolio tools, standards, knowledge, and best practices
