Job Description

As Regional Head of Pricing you will lead the Pricing function for the region, provide input to and lead the implementation of the functional strategy to meet customer needs, enhance competitive position of the business offerings, determine pricing and maximize EBIT delivery in line with regional strategy, financial and operational objectives, Group guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Roll out global pricing goals, strategies and initiatives to region to achieve revenue, profitability goals
  • Build up a regional pricing team
  • Interact with customers to derive the value they are looking for and the willingness to pay.
  • Assist the region with pricing negotiations / being part of the wolf pack
  • Drive regional rollout of all pricing strategies, processes and tools throughout the customer lifecycle, including regular interaction with regional leads involved in deal preparation, especially Business Development, Solution Design, Finance/Commercial, Account Management
  • Calibrate systematic multi-dimensional value-based price setting logic to extract willingness-to-pay within region
  • Improve monetization of surcharges and value-added services (VAS) and enable cross-selling within region
  • Standardize approach on how to version and price customer offer within region
  • Report and communicate regional pricing strategies, decisions and results to Global Head of Pricing and other relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate regional requirements to global stakeholders
  • Assist the region with annual pricing reviews
  • Ensure new/renewal contracts have the appropriate price increase clauses as mandated by DSC Board
  • Drive knowledge management utilization and contribution within region
  • Based on Global strategies, market changes and business performance, monitor and adjust Regional Pricing strategies accordingly
  • Actively distribute key knowledge to pricing organization through sparring for pricing negotiations with regional key customers
  • Deliver pricing training to the region

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership with proven ability to influence and lead teams, including laterally
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful pricing strategies, or related experience with customer negotiations
  • Proven success building a new team
