Regional HR Manager
Job Description
Building Industry Partners portfolio, Endeavor, is seeking a Regional HR Manager to join the holding company HR team. The role will be responsible for executing and overseeing human resources activities across our West Coast operating companies. This role requires in-depth knowledge of California employment law, unions and a strong background in HR operations. The successful candidate will work closely with management and employees to implement HR policies, handle employee relations, and ensure legal compliance.ย This position will be both hands-on and consultative, requiring a unique combination of skillsets.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with employment laws, including California.
- Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance to managers and employees.
- Compliance: Ensure all HR practices follow state and federal regulations, including wage and hour laws, leave laws, and other relevant legislation. As well as manage union relations.
- Employee Onboarding: Partner with the recruitment team and operating companies to manage the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming hiring process.
- Performance Management: Implement and manage performance review processes, providing guidance and support to managers.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and compliant offerings.
- HR Reporting: Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Masterโs degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years focused on California employment law.
- In-depth knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working with unions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Special Characteristics:
- Ability to work at local offices on a regular basis, and travel regionally approximately 25% of the time
- Ability to learn and adapt to the leadership styles and unique cultures of each operating company, while ensuring the overall mission, vision, and values of Endeavor are applied
