Job Description
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee sales for the Southeast USA region and operations for the Alpharetta, GA and Tampa, FL labs. Manage a team of highly proficient Account Executives, while developing sales strategies. Conduct interactions for potential sales opportunities, identification of valid leads, follow-up, and coordination with Sales Management. Actively work with Business Line Director to grow sales in various service areas, such as medical, ITAV, consumer goods, machinery, lighting, and laboratory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 Operational management of the Southeast region and lab operations. These labs collectively provide product safety, EMC, environmental, photometry, retail, and energy efficiency testing services. This will include maintaining compliance to TÜV SÜD Policies and ISO/IEC 17025. Setting operational KPI’s to monitor regional and site performance, all associated supervisory responsibilities, assessing training needs, conducting performance reviews, etc.
- Â Manage your direct sales team to their target and projection
- Â Creating detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas
- Â Complete Regional P&L Management
- Â Create an annual budget and financial forecast, monitor spending on a continuous basis, and provide monthly adjustments to the forecast as required for each site within the region.
- Â Collaborate with other Regional Managers to ensure sites are staffed and equipped to meet business needs and forecasted growth plans.
- Â Work to streamline processes and workflow
- Â Support customer meetings, inquiries, and testing to support business development of the region.
- Â Oversee the lab managers to ensure the operational performance and timing of projects are maintained to maximize revenue and margin to meet customer performance/timing targets and company financial goals.
- Â Support the hiring, training, growth and development of the technicians and engineers.
- Â Develop lab and equipment strategy and best practices to support efficient and cost-effective lab operations.
- Â Create future strategic plans
-  Provide professional after-sales support to enhance customers’ dedication
- Â Assist in negotiating agreements with current and prospective clients
- Â Ensure the site operations maintain compliance with environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Â Well-versed in the technical/engineering details related to modern technology/TIC business
- Â Demonstrated ability to manage lab operations to drive revenue and satisfy customer deliverables
- Â Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Â Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Â Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
- Â Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Â Ability to multi-task and handle deadlines
- Â Thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
- Â Articulate, professional, courteous, and effective manner with internal and external customers
- Â Customer service-oriented; Self-starter with a positive outlook and motivated attitude
EDUCATION:
-  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
-  Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred
EXPERIENCE:
-  Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory testing services
- Â Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience, including development of individuals and teams
- Â Minimum 5 years operational experience in a lab environment with financial/cost responsibilities
- Â Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
- Â Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Â Organizational and time management skills
- Â Enthusiastic and passionate
