Regional Manager, Network Growth
The RM of Network Growth is responsible for contracting top-quality providers for inclusion in the SurgeryPlus network. Responsibilities include provider screening (quality and capabilities), prospecting, sales, reimbursement and contract negotiation, and ongoing executive/surgeon relationship management insofar as it drives further provider network contracting activities. The successful candidate has a successful record of contracting hospitals, healthcare systems and individual providers from start to finish, with a track record of strategically building out new relationships and / or provider networks. They have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal operations roles to ensure deal throughput is managed, reported, and successful transitioned from initial discussion to implementation handoff. They are experienced and adept using sales technology tools (e.g. Salesforce, sharepoint, Microsoft office, etc.). They are a self-starter and highly motivated. The network growth team is allocated based on strategic network ROI in geographic territories and also correcting existing contracts presenting an improvement opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and/or exceed network contracting growth expectations
- Source new network growth opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
- Be the market expert for your geographies. Be audible ready on the network construction, competitive landscape, contract terms (e.g. nonstandard provisions like exclusivity, reimbursement structure, bundle configuration, etc.), regulatory mandates and how these aspects impact our overall growth, profitability, and risk in your markets
- Negotiate contracts with a wide range of physicians, facilities, and ancillary provider groups.
- Enhance and master hospital and surgeon presentations
- Research accounts: identify key players and generate interest in SurgeryPlus.
- Maintain and expand prospects within the strategic area of focus for the company.
- Leverage existing relationships to open new opportunities for network growth.
- Perform effective sales presentation and discussion to prospective providers.
- Participate in internal projects and non-client related tasks as needed.
- Model and foster a team-centered culture which rewards innovation, effort and accountability.
- Work cross-functionally between departments to resolve complex issues as well as develop solutions proactively and independent of supervision.
- Partner and work collaboratively with corporate sales team to proactively address network needs based on current and anticipated member demand.
- Run the face-off-strategy relationships with health system and provider partners, manage the relationship, optimizing the contract / partnership, and serve as the point of escalation for P&L
- Advise cross departmentally in a supportive function as needed to solve network issues.
- Understand network capabilities of assigned geographies.
- Decision provider recommendations as assigned.
- Attend and/or participate in industry conferences to develop relationship or market the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 - 7 years of professional experience in direct sales, or a demonstrated ability to articulate complex ideas to a wide-ranging audience.
- Extensive experience interfacing with health care clients/providers including written, telephonic, and face-to-face interactions inclusive of senior management level communications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively handle client escalations, managing to successful outcomes
- Adept with sales technology/CRM
- Experience in client facing role
- Proven work experience in account management
- Experience in complex product/service sales preferred
- Ability to perform successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment
- Experience in self-funded benefits (health/medical) industry highly preferred
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Based in Dallas, TX
- Willingness to travel 50% of time
