THE OPPORTUNITY
The Regional TRP Manager will be responsible for establishing new TRP store locations and managing and directing all aspects of the TRP operations within the assigned region. This position is also responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the TRP locations and maintaining the highest level of customer service and professionalism in serving our customers' needs. This position will include special projects and additional Parts Department responsibilities within the region as necessary.
This position requires knowledge of heavy truck parts, commercial truck shop operations and/or experience in a truck dealership as parts technician/parts counterperson.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop sales and gross profits by:
- Collaborating with branch parts managers to increase sales and optimize procedures
- Transferring product between locations to maximize sales potential and sell slow movers
- Streamlining policies and procedures
- Focusing on purchasing processes and combining buying power with other regions in the US
- Optimizing consistency of products stocked
- Analyzing and working with the Regional General Manager on future business growth and opportunities
- Encouraging aggressive marketing
- Utilizing merchandising and advertising methods within budget allocation, including taking advantage of all manufacturers' inventory co-op advertising
- Establishing a competitive parts pricing policy while maximizing profitability
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining an efficient and effective level of service and handling customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines
- Analyzing sales, expenses and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals
- Developing and utilizing a lost sales tracking report
- Monitoring daily reports such as DOE, DOC, sales productivity, and E-invoicing
- Streamline inventory control practices to ensure product line consistency and acquisition price
- Preparing and administering an annual operating budget for TRP location
- Controlling the inventory investment according to turn rate and level of obsolescence, consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts and the do-it-yourself public
- Creation of checks and balances in all areas of the department including purchasing, shipping, receiving and safety
- Becoming familiar with and complying with the company's Health & Safety Manual, and OSHA regulations
- Hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all parts managers within the assigned region
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Qualification as a truck Parts Journeyperson preferred
- Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of heavy truck parts and accessories, commercial truck shop operations and/or experience in a truck dealership as parts technician/parts counterperson preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
