The Role

Tesla is rapidly expanding its operations worldwide. Over the next year, we are set to commence production at our Austin and Berlin Gigafactories, while significantly scaling up production in Shanghai and Fremont. To meet these demands, we seek individuals with exceptional abilities to challenge norms and foster standardization. As a Regional Operations Leader, you will play a pivotal role in our Collision and Used Car organizations, dismantling silos and collaborating across teams to ensure quality standards, cost efficiency, and scalable solutions. Your strategic acumen and strong leadership will drive operational excellence; you will be tasked with overseeing program managers responsible for enhancing efficiencies and implementation strategies. Additionally, you will support new store openings and oversee repair, maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Success in this role hinges on your strategic agility, customer focus, and your ability to build and lead a high-performing team founded on trust.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the recruitment and supervision of a team comprising program managers and functional specialists dedicated to formulating implementation strategies and executing standardization and efficiency initiatives within the Collision and Used Car operations across the region
  • Evaluate current operational processes across Collision and Used Car operations, analyzing key performance indicators such as K2K, CSAT, WIP, throughput, and productivity, and offer actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate closely with regional sites, identifying and addressing day-to-day operational challenges at their root cause, while also providing feedback to support teams to enhance operations and prevent recurring issues
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and standardization by facilitating the dissemination of best practices across the supported region
  • Act as a conduit for field feedback, conveying insights to regional management, support teams, and directors to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement efforts
  • Conduct in-person assessments to ascertain operational needs, and develop comprehensive business cases for proposed projects
  • Scrutinize project quotes and ensure the quality control of work conducted within the workplace, maintaining adherence to established standards and objectives

Requirements

  • Possess a robust background in Tesla Collision and Used Car Refurbishment, prior leadership experience in these operational areas is preferred
  • Demonstrate adeptness in prioritizing multiple projects and meeting critical business deadlines, ensuring seamless operational execution; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Embrace a dedicated and ethical approach to business operations, adhering to Tesla's values and principles
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships by acting as a respected and trusted partner, fostering a conducive environment for teamwork and innovation
  • Showcase expertise in Tesla systems and reporting tools, leveraging these resources to drive data-driven decision-making and process optimization
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required by business needs, up to 60% or more
  • Must have a valid driver's license in country of employment

    • Expected Compensation

      $64,600 - $210,900/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
