Job scope:

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Order Desk representative within FLSmidth. The Order Desk Representative is responsible for managing and following up on the parts quotation life cycle, with a primary focus on ensuring effective follow-up, understanding win/loss decisions, and analysing reasons for quotation losses. This role is pivotal in optimising the quotation process, enhancing customer satisfaction, and providing valuable insights for improving sales strategies. This will be a fixed term position.

How will you help us achieve this:

• Ensuring sales quotes are raised and responded to using standard operating procedures within agreed time frames.
• Creating or converting sales orders from sales quotes as per standard operating procedures
• High level of reporting from sales and customer data.
• Proactively notifying customers and/or the sales team at the earliest opportunity where a delay in, or issue with delivery is identified.
• Liaising with warehousing or shipping companies regarding customer dispatch freight needs or freight verification (where applicable)
• Ensuring invoicing is completed and issued once goods are available for shipment using standard operating procedures within agreed time frames.
• Responding to customer queries in a timely and courteous manner
• Maintaining accurate customer records and profiles including shipment instructions, archiving of files
• Accurate and timely entry of data into systems, review of mailbox and process of orders.
• Advising customers of process should products be required to be returned.

What you bring:

• Experience in a similar role within an Order Desk
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Extremely strong command of Spoken and Written English
• Customer Focused.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Capability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
