At Copart, we are currently seeking an experienced Regional People Partner to join our team.

As a Regional People Partner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the assigned business unit or region, communicating, and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives. and promoting positive employee relations within the organization. You will be responsible for maintaining a healthy and productive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and enhancing employee engagement. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to managers in effectively dealing with employee relations issues. The Regional People Partner will work closely with, and report to, the Director of P&C to provide comprehensive HR support to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain influential relationships by being a strategic partner with management and an advocate for employees.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including coaching, goal setting, performance appraisals, and development plans.
  • Identify training needs related to employee relations and coordinate relevant training programs with the Training and Employee Development team.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and databases of employee relations activities.
  • Conduct training sessions for managers on employee relations policies and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure the organization's compliance.
  • Collaborates with the recruitment team, including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
  • Support the benefits and payroll teams which may include enrollment, changes, and addressing employee inquiries.
  • Contribute to the implementation of HR projects and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Two plus years of previous experience in HR.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional HR Certifications preferred (PHR or SHRM-CP).
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office Suite.
  • Comfortable and effective working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • In-office position.
  • Required 25% - 30% travel.
