Description
Airline is looking for a Regional Product Specialist/Product Champion to join our expanding team in New England. This position will serve as a technical specialist and sales support for assigned group of automation products in your assigned geography. The specialist will assist sales in the promotion of assigned products thru in-person presentations, video calls, training sessions, etc. They will assist the sales team in identifying key products to promote based on customer type and industry. This position reports to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to marketing content ideas on assigned product lines
- Inventory recommendations and strategy. Work with purchasing to ensure correct inventory is in play and recommend the optimum mix of stock. Provide plans to move old products being replaced with new offerings to avoid dead stock issues
- Coordinate schedule and drive Airline's "Tech Traveler" demo van in assigned region
- Promote the use of CRM tools in the business system to ensure sales team is capturing all relevant data
- Assist in Airline's efforts to improve cooperation and coordination of sales activities directed by the factory sales forces.
- Jointly develop sales goals with key suppliers, to be in concert with Airline strategic goals
- Develop sales action plans with outside sales at frequent territory review sessions
- Work to instill a spirit of cooperation with intra-company departments. Share outside sales resources with fellow product sales managers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 2-4 years of related sales experience
- Knowledge & experience with electrical and automation/control products is a plus (PLC, HMI, Industrial PC, Industrial Networking, IIoT technology, etc.)
- May require overnight traveling
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Excellent project management, organization, written and verbal communication skills
- The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, a team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision, while remaining responsive to completing assigned projects
- Comfortable working in a multi-tasking environment
- Detail oriented individual
