Regional Revenue Controller – APIMEA

In this senior leadership position, you will be responsible for the financial health of the APIMEA region, leading a team to ensure accurate billing, revenue recognition, timely collections, and efficient month-end closing. You will be part of the global controllership team and also partner with regional sales and other finance teams to maintain a strong financial control environment and drive profitable revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle for the APIMEA region, including billing, revenue accounting, collections, and month-end closing.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data.
• Develop and lead a high-performing team of revenue cycle professionals.
• Analyze and report on key revenue metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to regional and corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage the collections process for the APIMEA region, developing and implementing strategies to maximize collections and minimize bad debt.
• Partner with sales teams to understand customer needs and ensure accurate billing.
• Work closely with regional finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue cycle.
• Manage and mitigate financial risks associated with the revenue cycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a revenue cycle leadership role, with a proven track record of success.
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP), and financial controls.
• Experience working in a multinational or geographically dispersed environment (highly preferred).Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders across various departments and regions.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools (e.g., ERP systems).
• Fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively in the business language(s) of the APIMEA region (a plus).
