About the Regional Sales Leader Role

We're looking for an emerging go-to-market leader to help us deepen and expand our presence in several key geographies. This team has 'cracked the nut' on how to bring the ICHRA solution to market and now we're ready to transition from a singular central sales team to multiple regional teams. You'll report directly to the Director of Broker Sales and work closely with our Marketing and Broker Business Development teams.
We're counting on you to bring an experience and hunger to grow our broker relationships and help nurture and harvest opportunities from our existing broker relationships. You'll likely have an experienced team and/or Account Executive who has been a part of our market-leading effort in selling ICHRA to mid-market and enterprise clients within the first 3 years of our industry.
Be prepared to get out there within your region and build relationships with our existing and potential brokers to understand their needs and help consult them on how and when Take Command and ICHRA would be the right solution for them and their clients.

You’ll be responsible for managing a regional team to hit an annual sales goal. Your mission is not just to partner with brokers to hit annual sales numbers but also to turn those brokers and their clients into raving fans and referral sources for Take Command's future growth.

A few things you can expect to jump in on right away:

  • Develop and deepen Take Command's broker relationships within your region
  • Educate and nurture brokers to produce increased business opportunities for Take Command within your region
  • Coach and mentor a team of Account Executives in the ICHRA design and sales process to hit and exceed their individual and your regional sales target
  • Act as a player / coach in year 1 to learn about Take Command's 'art and science' of the ICHRA sales process and transition to a pure coach over time as your team ramps up below you
  • Recruit, hire, and manage new Account Executives as the region expands
  • Represent Take Command in the market via in-person visits, agency lunch and learns, industry conferences, and speaking engagements (virtual and in-person)

While we care deeply about bringing in a leader that aligns with our mission, vision, and values, we anticipate top candidates will also meet the following criteria:

  • 5+ years in a business development or sales role
  • 2+ years managing individual contributors or a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong networking and relationship skills (existing broker network a plus)
  • Experience in outbound sales activities and motions
  • Experience with channel sales, employee benefits, or healthcare is a plus
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding growth targets
  • Monthly travel within your region
