What You'll Do

This position within Farm & Hardware (formerly 2-Step) is responsible for comprehensive knowledge and execution of all customers within Zone 580, products & promotions, and a strategic plan for positive quarterly and annual sales growth of a $162M+ region. Specifically, you'll:

  • Manage and lead all elements of the Great Lakes Hardware business to include:
    • Indirect Accounts
      • The Big 4 - Ace, Orgill, Do-It- Best, True Value
      • Mid-States Customers
      • Independents Dealers
    • Regional Wholesalers
  • Responsible for region's sales growth, profitability, listings, and share gain
  • Manage a team of direct reports.
  • Establish relationships with top accounts and key personnel.
  • Manage budgets (T&E, Targeted Funds, Demo Tool) to drive profitability.
  • Work with SBDK internal teams including marketing, operations, and finance.
  • Lead the region's top accounts advertising and promotional plans.
  • Utilize systems such as Salesforce, Business Warehouse, and Workplace to drive efficiencies within Farm and Hardware (formerly 2 Step)
  • Drive sell-through across all SBDK brands and strategic business units.

Who You Are

You're a curious problem solver who has the ability to bring big ideas to life. You're creative and scrappy but can navigate a large organization with ease. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch customer experiences, always. You also have:

  • 4-year college degree required
  • 5 - 10+ years industry and sales experience
  • Goal oriented, highly driven, and able to lead across multiple functions and departments.
  • Strong account, people, and team management experience
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and multi-tasking - must be creative and innovate.
  • Highly effective communicator with customers, team personnel, and SBDK Tools and Outdoor leadership team
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT Business systems (BW, Salesforce, Tool Commerce, Showpad) and Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Financial Acumen - ability to understand basic balance sheet and drive profitable growth.
