Regional Sales Manager
Job Description
What You'll Be Doing
- Work closely with manufacturer's representatives to establish and maintain customer relationships and secure opportunities to service existing business and generate new business to meet and exceed company sales goals. Extensive air and ground travel is required, up to and at times exceeding 60%
- Obtain and review customer specifications and, working with appropriate Inside Sales and Engineering personnel, provide proposals for products to meet customers' needs
- Negotiate with customers to obtain orders and close sales
- Evaluate effectiveness of manufacturer's reps and provide suggestions to management concerning additions or changes
- Assist management in projecting sales in designated region based on past performance and current business climate in the region
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years sales experience in company or industry that sells through manufacturers' representatives; experience with sale of pressure relief products is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to influence others to accomplish objectives
- Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Windows and Office.
