The Role
The Regional Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue, results, and customer experience within a designated market. Responsibilities include hiring, training, and developing effective teams, shaping and executing operational standards, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to formulate business plans and market strategies. The Regional Sales Manager is ultimately accountable for growing market shares, enhancing brand awareness, and increasing profitability across all product lines. At Tesla, the expectation is excellence, consistent delivery of outstanding results, and goal achievement month after month. This involves developing proficient local teams, maintaining operational standards, and implementing strategic business plans that align with the company's mission of ensuring accurate, consistent, and rapid transactions for Tesla customers.
This role will cover Texas South market: Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Corpus Christi, and Brownsville.
Responsibilities
- Set clear team targets and individual goals to reinforce training standards, career pathing, and employee retention
- Proactively mediate and resolve customer concerns while executing strategies to enhance profitability
- Partner with fleet logistics to optimize sales and delivery processes and ensure consistency with brand standards
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and develop a comprehensive market strategy
- Provide upward feedback on capacity constraints and collaborate with the Service Team to enhance the client experience
- Utilize CRM reports and Tableau dashboards to provide feedback and execute process management changes
- Represent Tesla professionally in communications with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, 7 years of experience leading large teams in a high-growth, service-focused industry, or equivalent
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adhere to business-critical deadlines
- Effectively utilize data, logic, and instincts to drive solutions, including experience in running complex processes with Lean or other techniques
- Excellent analytical, verbal/written communication, and sales skills; prior P&L experience preferred
- Ethical approach to management and operations; expected to spend 80% of time with teams
- Must have a valid driver's license in country of employment; Ability to travel up to 75%
- Ability to work evenings and weekends and must be able to stand or sit for 8 hours or more
