Regional Sales Manager - Mostly Remote
Job Description
Please note: This is a Mostly Remote Position covering Columbus, Ohio and requires regular on-site visits to market in addition to remote work. Candidate must reside within the Columbus, OH region.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Enterprise Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager is a high-performance sales team leader who builds, coaches and inspires a team in our growth region(s) while building internal and external relationships and strategies to reach the team sales performance goals.

Essential Job Functions
- Manage regional enterprise sales team(s) of Account Executives, Sr. Account Executives, and Strategic Account Executives.
- Provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
- Train team in solutions selling methodology.
- Recommend products or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Define territory within the region and act as an escalation point for sales team and customers.
- Work closely with Marketing and Inside Sales on lead generation programs.
- Identify resource requirements, plan appropriately for problems, and lobby / rally management and external organizations for support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Working experience in sales management preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a telecommunications sales environment preferred.
- Ability to recruit and develop a professional sales force in a minimum period of time.
- Working knowledge with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs like Salesforce preferred.
- Working experience in telecommunications or communications networking experience with emphasis on Ethernet, Internet, Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), Cloud, Wide Area Network (WAN), dark fiber, and Datacenter preferred.

Physical Requirements
Light work: Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
