JOB OVERVIEW:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is the frontline sales leader for the company. The RSM manages District Sales Managers (DSMs) and Endodontic Sales Manager (ESM) in his or her Region. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for coaching, supporting and developing their sales team in achieving budgeted sales and GP goals. The RSM leads their team to meet and exceed goals in manner that is compliant with all applicable policies and guidelines, insures outstanding customer experience and is consistent with strategic initiatives, goals and objectives. The RSM sets their team's plans, ensures alignment with the company's strategic objectives, and drives execution excellence of these plans. The RSM also collects, captures, and packages competitive, market, industry and voice of the customer (VOC) information for internal use. Develop talent and tenure within each team member, among the team, and/or for the larger company.

The RSM identifies and grows potential next generation leaders for the company while consistently delivering assigned results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for recruiting and hiring of DSMs and ESM; develop their team and create a desired-state talent bench.
  • Manage, direct, and monitor Regional activities to meet and/or exceed the Region's targeted sales and gross profit contribution by customer class and product segment.
  • Co-travel to train, coach and measure DSMs and ESM relative to territory management, consultative selling skills, product knowledge and business acumen; identify challenges and opportunities within territories, guide plans to correct and/or capitalize.
  • Effectively manage and defuse escalations.
  • Advance Brasseler culture by promoting respect, trust, accountability, diversity and diversity of thought.
  • Direct and monitor DSMs and ESM compliance with company's policies and procedures, including expense budget, Brain Shark curriculum requirements, CRM, A+Gui, TMP Calendar, Showpad, Qlikview, and Link.
  • Work with Brasseler Leadership to develop and promote the Region's compensation plans, incentives, promotions, contests, and account analysis in order to grow profitable sales in the Region.
  • Provide market and customer feedback to the head of sales and leadership team.
  • Manage relationships with Regional Key Opinion Leaders in cooperation with the Director of Rotary Product Development & Innovations.
  • Work with inside sales team to increase sales activities to meet or exceed Region's targeted sales and gross profit.
  • Plan and participate in trade shows within his respective Region in coordination with the Event Planner.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years in an outside sales position with sales management experience (medical related fields or b2b sales preferred)

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient computer skills, with understanding of Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Understanding of all dental procedures and rotary applications.
  • Highly developed coaching and leadership skills; excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and business acumen.

TRAVEL / WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel typically 50% or more with minimum of 8-10 over nights per month.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit for extended periods of time; talk and hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch and lift up to 15 pounds
  • Job demands may require airplane flights and long periods of driving.
  • Job demands may require occasional heavy lifting, up to 20 pounds.
  • The posted range for this position is $95,990 to $167,983 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
