Regional Sales Manager – Northwest Territory

We are actively recruiting an energetic and strategic Regional Sales Manager to grow revenue in the assigned sales territory. This is a customer facing position which works hand-in-hand with inside sales & third party representative sales partners to accomplish primary objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales budget for assigned accounts in sales territory.
  • Work with specific assigned Inside Account Managers in territory to maintain forecasted sales pipeline.
  • Utilize CRM as dictated by company process, including tracking all sales related activity. Enter trip reports, new customer contacts, and other relevant information into company’s CRM.
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge of all company offerings, regularly educate customers of these offerings; pursue cross-selling / up-selling opportunities.
  • Ability to prepare presentation content to be delivered in person or virtually
  • Represent the company at trade shows and association meetings to enhance business interests
  • Analyze competitor activities in the region and assess opportunities for business development.
  • Develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships within assigned accounts.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-departmentally to create and foster a team oriented, customer focused environment.
  • Communicate with customers as needed, serving as subject matter expert on products. Work with inside sales to provide timely and efficient answers to customer requests including answers to product questions and delegating order status inquiries to assigned Account Managers.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years sales experience in the data connectivity or related industry.
  • Preferred experience working in sales as a regional or territory sales manager.
  • Excellent people skills and an ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals at all levels internally and externally.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Appropriate product knowledge and ability to learn new products and technology quickly and easily.
  • technical product knowledge, fiber optic, copper, etc.
  • Knowledge of CRM usage or other sales management tool is preferred but not required

The successful candidate will have experience working cross-departmentally and will have exceptional communication skills. Must be customer focused and solution driven. You should have a professional demeanor, able to interact effectively with all levels, internally and externally. Regular travel is required in this position.
