The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for establishing an effective team environment in order to execute the Pet Specialty Retail Omni BU strategy and achievement of business objectives/KPI's for the Royal Canin business. This role is responsible for 5-7 associates in their region

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Business, Marketing, or Other
  • 10+ Years of sales experience also acceptable in lieu of degree (B2B preferred)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written) to a variety of audiences
  • People Management experience in a mentoring/coaching or line manager role
  • Availability to travel 50% of time is needed.
  • Strong Communication skills

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Achieve profitable sales growth objectives within assigned area through leadership of District Managers.
  • Develops strong working relationship with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization. Balances the needs and interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, Account teams, Digital Sales, Analytics, Digital Technologies, Inside Sales and Scientific Affairs). Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Responsible for upholding high standards of direct reports. Monitors the weekly activities of sales personnel and provides on-going coaching & development to achieve sales goals and KPI's via accountability management in the CRM
  • Actively develops a talent pipeline through effective coaching of District Managers. Develops associates to meet both their career goals and the organizations goals.
  • Implement the Royal Canin Pet Specialty Retail sales strategy and sales process within the assigned region.
  • Models the leadership behaviors commensurate with the 5 Principles. Develops a team mentality through driving personal development, engagement & inclusivity of direct reports.
  • Provide the company with market intelligence regarding competitive activity and marketing
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions and company meetings as required.
  • Manage expense and trade budgets.
  • Recruit, coach and develop District Manager team to meet current responsibilities and prepare them for personal and professional growth in an evolving business
  • Can shift gears comfortably in a constantly changing environment
  • Monitors market results and makes recommendations to deliver the business commitments.
  • Ensures effective and efficient sales coverage patterns that aligns with priority classification
  • Direct the implementation of sales and marketing programs within assigned area of responsibility. Makes recommendations to improve execution and direction.
