Regional Sales Manager, TAP (Content & Software)
Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager, TAP - Small/Mid leads a team of Sales Reps in pursuit of their sales and revenue targets.
The key areas of responsibility are:
- Primary responsibility of leading the activities of a team of up to 12+ Frontline Sales reps attempting to attain their individual quotas by selling our Tax & Accounting Content & Software products to Small/Medium Accounting firms with 1 up to 30 associates.
- Coordinates with other managers across the organization to ensure that the right resources are in place to hit goals.
- Reports to the Sales Director.
In this opportunity as Regional Sales Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for attaining assigned Team Sales and Revenue targets.
- Lead pipeline reviews and coaching sessions to drive pipeline across key products.
- Deliver accurate sales forecast
- Set activity and sales expectations. Review and inspect behavior and results. Provide appropriate performance coaching and deploy performance management.
- Handle customer escalations as necessary
- Share best practices across the sales organization. Work collaboratively with business partners to drive e revenue growth, organization health, and customer satisfaction.
- Look for opportunities to improve the go-to-market strategy and our customer's buying experience.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and customers business issues and needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding existing and new clients to identify and resolve client concerns; establish and maintain current and potential client relationships.
- Communicate product and service opportunities, information or feedback gathered through client activity to appropriate internal resources, including relevant business issues and industry information for utilization in development of market specific action plans and sales strategy.
- Participate in marketing events, trade shows and Company events.
About You
You are a fit for the role of Regional Sales Manager if your background includes:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
- 3+ years' experience leading sales teams.
- Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling).
- Command of sales processes and coaching methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, and business acumen.
- Track record of success selling tax, assurance, advisory solutions is preferred.
- Territory management experience.
- Problem solving-ability to understand and solve client needs.
- Effective time management skills
- Able to travel to customer locations, events (20% of time allocation)
- Working knowledge of TR products, the Tax compliance, assurance, advisory profession and/or legal publishing industry preferred
