Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager (“RSM”) is to sell “Nextech” (TouchMD) to assigned physician markets generally consisting of practices with one (1) to two (2) doctors in a territory or territories assigned by the VP Sales and CRO. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for handling client prospects from all sources including responses to marketing, trade show and general inquiries as well as referrals from existing practices and physicians, maintaining established customer relationships and transitioning newly acquired clients to a Client Success Manager. During the initial meaningful contact, the RSM will qualify the prospective client to determine that there is sufficient justification for the prospective client’s evaluation of Nextech to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship between Nextech and the client. All RSM activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.
Essential Functions
- Lead a full sales lifecycle, start to finish, within the 1-2 physician Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Aesthetics, or Ophthalmology market segment
- Meet or exceed assigned quarterly and annual quotas and key performance metrics within assigned territory
- Utilize qualification and discovery to determine prospective client needs
- Partner with prospects, clients and co-workers with the highest level of integrity
- Conduct highly effective web or in-person product demonstrations to physicians, administrators, and supporting staff
- Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential buyers
- Remain up to date with follow up and follow through for prospective clients
- Travel overnight to and/or within assigned territory as required to conduct comprehensive sales cycles
- Prepare and present price proposals to prospective clients
- Determine and present the proposed return on investment for clients of the Nextech solution
- Negotiate specific contract terms with prospective clients within Nextech guidelines; seeking approval of Vice President, Sales, and/or Chief Revenue Officer as required for terms that may differ from Nextech standard terms
- Complete all necessary paperwork in order to process the sale; implementation, support, accounting and account management
- Maintain contact with the client and supporting other Nextech employees as required throughout the implementation, initial “go-live” process and ongoing client relationship
- Utilize Salesforce.com to report on the status of leads, track action items of each sales campaign and accurately forecast on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Remain up to date on the competition’s products and markets
Minimum Requirements
- Desire and commitment to do what it takes to be successful in a sales role
- Have a passion for Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Aesthetics, or Ophthalmology and/or Nextech’s products
- Polished phone, online, and in person meeting demeanor
- Superb listening skills: you must understand objections and defeat them by turning sceptics into ecstatic new customers
- High level of empathy - it’s important for our RSM’s be a good person to peers, prospects, and clients
- Experience maintaining relationships with customers / clients
- Strong desire to succeed and be driven by quotas or goals
- Have a positive outlook, strong ability to take accountability for actions, handle change, and focus on solutions
- Travel 30-40% of the time to regional/national tradeshow, practice onsite visits, offsite sales meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years working in a Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Aesthetics, or Ophthalmology practice
Working Environment/Physical Demands
- Air travel as needed and/or long distance driving within territory – not to exceed 40% travel
- Air travel periodically to Nextech headquarters in Tampa, FL and various trade shows around the country
- A high-energy environment where periods of stress may occur
- If remote, high-speed internet access and reasonable access to a major airport are required
- Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the telephone
- Ability to travel via commercial airlines and rental cars to and from trade shows and within territory
- Walking and standing for long periods of time at trade shows and as required to interact with other personnel in the office
