The company

The role

Metropolis is looking for an individual to research local markets for Sales opportunities. We are interested in identifying parking garages and lots that will be a good fit for Metropolis technology. This individual will survey markets to find opportunities by physically visiting properties and capturing all its parking limitations. The end product will be a site by site report as to why an asset is ripe for Metropolis takeover. This individual will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and report to the Regional Director.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Regional Sales Manager and local Operations team to understand a market and where there are opportunities. 
  • Visit and assess local parking assets
  • Develop a summary report of each parking asset to include pictures, competitive landscape, meeting notes with garage workers and property managers.
  • Understand the competition in a market, strengths weaknesses and where we can win
  • Book Meetings for Regional Sales Manager when appropriate
  • Responsible for drafting initial pro-forma used in proposals, including drafting content with input from operations team
  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs); identify key requirements and expectations, develop proposal plans, outlines and schedules, compliance checklists, and prepare questions.
  • Prepare and maintain activity reports and status reports
  • Establish local relationships and provide value to our prospects 
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with internal groups the status of any outstanding relationship developments, proposals, etc. and appropriately convey expectations for each party involved in the process

Requirements 

  • Hungry individual with a Sales mentality that wants to learn from some of the brightest and best in the industry
  • Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated tenacity and initiative to create new business opportunities with the ability to persuade and influence others
  • Ability to maintain stability, dependability and professionalism when faced with changing and difficult situations
  • Entry level sales position, Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university a plus
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • For insurance purposes, must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word) and various technology and point-of-sale applications
  • Written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization
  • Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business policies, procedures, equipment manuals, training materials, and corporate communications
  • Ability to compose professional internal and external business communications including reports, memos, letters, and e-mails
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional work environment.
