About the role:

As the Regional Security Lead at Biogen, you'll be the cornerstone of our security operations across European sites, including our Solothurn Manufacturing and Baar International HQ in Switzerland. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our security philosophy and driving strategic initiatives to safeguard our assets and operations. You'll manage and implement comprehensive site security programs, adeptly handling risk assessment and mitigation. This role is not just about oversight; it's about active engagement with global and regional teams, fostering a culture of security awareness and collaboration that contributes to Biogen's mission of transforming lives through pioneering therapies.

What You’ll Do:

• Craft and enforce the regional security program, aligning with global standards for physical security.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and security audits across sites and regions.
• Collaborate on global security initiatives, including Travel and Event Security, Executive Protection, and Investigations.
• Enhance the Global Supply Chain Security program regionally, leading audits and investigations as needed.
• Leverage a network of security professionals and agencies to adopt innovative security measures.
• Strengthen Biogen’s emergency preparedness, ensuring robust business continuity and incident management.
• Cultivate vital relationships with stakeholders, promoting security awareness and serving as the trusted security advisor.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law, or related field, or equivalent education.
• At least 10 years of progressive security management experience.
• Background in law enforcement, military, or private security is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and one other language, preferably German or French.
• Proven leadership capabilities, sound business insight, and robust communication skills.
• Extensive experience in multinational roles and environments.
• Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry is beneficial.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, CISSP are desirable.
