THE POSITION

This Regional Segment Head - SMY S2 leads the North American S2 Business Segment (Independent Aftermarket and OES) to drive profitable sales growth and efficient distribution operations. Manage $159M 2022 Sales Budget with growth to $184M+ over the next 5 years. Responsible as the overall site general manager for the Allentown location.

Oversee all elements of the IAM and OES business in North America, including Sales (including Sales Representative Contracted Agencies), Business Development, Engineering, Distribution Operations, HR, Product Management and Development, Project Management, Pricing and Quotation, Strategy and overall SMY Marketing & Communications Team. Territorial responsibility includes United States, Mexico, and Canada region. Full P&L responsibility for S2 N.A. business including $159M sales, $40M period expense budget, and $135M average operating assets.

Duties of the position include:• Secure, manage, and profitably grow IAM/OES customer base.• Lead customer negotiations and secure customer contracts.• Develop and manage annual sales and cost budgets. Report and present results and continuous profitable growth plan to global management.• Lead the performance management and career development of a team of direct reports in the area of Sales, PM, Marketing, HR, and Business Development with functional support to Operations and Finance/Controlling teams to ensure effective succession planning.• Support Regional Business and HR led initiatives, programs, and polices.• Live and promote the Core Values throughout the location.• Lead and steer engineering team to manage small OEM projects and new aftermarket product programs.• Ensure and steer North American Automotive Aftermarket Product Quality standards.• Develop and execute S2 North America Growth and Operations Strategies.• Lead and steer Continental inter-company collaboration/cooperation with all BA's to identify, develop, and launch new products that are applicable to the IAM, special OEM, and OES markets.• Represent Continental at all major North American Automotive Aftermarket Industry Associations.

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering• 15+ years of experience in Automotive Aftermarket and Business Development• 15+ years of experience in Business Management/Leadership• Experience with Warehousing & Distribution and global supply chain management• Intercultural diversity and International Business Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's Degree• Lean Manufacturing Process knowledge and experience• Logistics & Supply Chain Management
