Regional Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Regional Supply Chain Manager. In this role, you will execute the Supply Chain strategy in support of all product linesby leading a team of planning and purchasing professionals that manage day-to-day tactical buying, carry out short-term demand planning, and ensure products and materials are delivered on time and within budget. Also, maintaining optimal inventory levels, executing, interpreting, and disseminating data analysis, and driving continuous improvement efforts projects.
You will also
- Coordinate the local planning and procurement of raw materials and finished goods by guiding, challenging, supporting, and developing the regional Supply Chain team to ensure they have all the attributes, skills, and resources to support operational effectiveness
- Ensure regional supply chain planning processes meet organizational objectives by collaborating with Global S&OP, Production, Quality Control, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure that planning processes align with business needs and goals coordinate.
- Develop innovative, high-performing regional Supply Chain and S&OP teams by using strong leadership and judgment skills to acquire, develop, coach, and performance manage talented, visionary, creative S&OP and Inventory Management employees
- Manage purchasing activities to ensure the on-time acquisition of goods and services by maintaining compliance with Global Procurement policies while utilizing negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills required to execute Requests for Quotations (RFQs), place purchase orders, and handle purchasing exceptions
- Manage regional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting deliverables by establishing clear meeting objectives and agendas, setting participation expectations and ground rules, and following up to ensure action plans are implemented
- Manage the on-time delivery of goods and raw materials while improving logistics costs by overseeing the coordination of shipments with suppliers, carriers, and logistics providers and continuously improving storage warehousing and order replenishment processes
- Determine and control optimized inventory levels for raw material and finished goods by fostering best practices in planning and scheduling to ensure there is enough stock to meet customer demand and operational needs without tying up working capital with excess inventory
- Build and nurture a seamless, agile supply network by taking action on KPIs such as supplier on-time delivery, purchase order accuracy, contract compliance, production lead time development, inventory turnover, order cycle time and fill rates
Requirements
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Supply Chain (Procurement) or equivalency
- Proficiency with ERP systems critical, JDE Edwards E-1 is highly desirable
- Significant experience in the Operations and Manufacturing environment is required.
- Some procurement or customer service experience with proven achievements preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management
- 2+ years of experience in people management
- Knowledge and practice in Lean Manufacturing initiatives are highly desirable
- Salary: $107,022 - $136,122
