Job Description

Sentry Management is looking for a Regional Vice President, Business Development to focus on new business-to-business account development within the West region. Responsibilities include prospecting, relationship building, sales presentations and meeting a sales quota.

This position can be based in: Idaho, Washington, Arizona, Kansas, Colorado or New Mexico

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track, monitor, and analyze service penetration levels for all communities and board members
  • Provide detailed and accurate new business forecasts through use of company lead tracking program.
  • Responsible for annual new business goals for assigned territory.
  • Responsible for assisting in new lead generation along with making cold/warm calls
  • Understand and take action on customer needs
  • Identify major market competitors and develop a profile of their service advantages and detail strategies to combat Sentry services. Review assigned territory to ensure all communities are contacted on a defined, periodic basis
  • Assist in hosting or participating in community events, appropriate trade shows and social functions that promote the company's services and help maintain a high level of visibility and branding for Sentry
  • Make sales presentations to board members and homeowners
  • Complete and respond to requests for proposals
  • Manage sales lead database
  • Conduct community surveys by coordinating with the Customer Experience team to solicit feedback from board members.
  • Provide training and assistance on the use of products and services sold to internal and external customers.
  • In conjunction with assigned manager (if assigned, if not the solely responsible) responsible for transition activities with other departments to ensure a smooth and effective implementation and transition of service for new accounts
  • Respond to and successfully handle any new business inquiries as quickly as possible
  • Understand and demonstrate a full knowledge of all products and services offered by Sentry
  • As assigned, situationally work with division and or home office resources to save and cure existing Most at Risk identified communities.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven success in an outside sales role
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to travel within an assigned territory, including air and overnight travel
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
